Presentation

I first develop the background for the overall painting, upon which the images are painted. This background is developed by layering different colors of paint and then sanded down until the original layer begins to be exposed, in order to create the surface upon which the rest of the painting is developed. I then paint or build the characters, through a taping off process. The characters are painted first and then the scene around them is developed from the bottom of the canvas to the top. Sometimes using real architecture that I have seen and or imagined.
