This work was created using porcelain as well as colored porcelain. I worked slowly through her creation, working with the tiny facial lines and curves that most demonstrate the complexities of human emotion. My inspiration for this work comes from the desire to create a relatable emotional connection for viewers but also dealing with the thought that I am aging as well although I rarely think of it.
