A photograph taken at the New York Botanical Gardens of orchids reflected in a pool of water which I have printed on shimmering silk in my Epson. Layers of cloth and cotton batting are enhanced with free motion quilting by machine and hand embroidery. Some of the petals of the flowers are detached to add movement and definition to the water's surface.
